Daniel Wayne

Daniel is the founder and principal attorney at the Law Offices of Daniel W. Wayne. Daniel has built a reputation as a zealous advocate for tenant’s rights. He has resolved hundreds of cases on behalf of Bay Area tenants and helped his clients recover millions of dollars along the way.

​Daniel volunteers as a counselor with the San Francisco Tenants Union, writes a monthly column on tenant’s rights issues for the popular San Francisco-based site Broke-Ass Stuart, and has appeared on 91.7 FM KALW’s “Your Legal Rights” Program. He received the Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service award from the San Francisco Bar Association in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and has presented to numerous legal groups, as well as to the San Francisco Apartment Association, on topics such as AirBnB and short-term rental legislation, tenancy buyouts, and habitability litigation.

​In 2016 and 2017, Daniel was named a Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by his peers, an honor bestowed on only 2.5% of attorneys in Northern California. He is among the highest rated attorneys in San Francisco on Yelp, and has a rating of “Superb” (10/10) on Avvo.com.

​​In his free time Daniel enjoys traveling, cycling and the outdoors. Daniel makes his home in San Francisco’s Sunset neighborhood. He is originally from Seattle, Washington.

Anthony Burchell

Anthony Burchell is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Daniel Wayne. Prior to joining the firm Tony spent four years fighting for low-income Bay Area tenants, first at the Eviction Defense Collaborative and then the San Francisco Bar Association’s Justice and Diversity Center. He continually trains other Bay Area attorneys on topics ranging from housing related reasonable accommodations to defending owner move-in evictions in San Francisco.

Tony clerked for the Honorable Justice Richard C. Bosson of the New Mexico Supreme Court for two years after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2011.

In his spare time, Tony likes whitewater rafting, skiing, and chasing a rambunctious two year old son around his home in Oakland, CA.

Marie-Therese Senecal

Marie-Therese, or “MT” is the firm’s office manager. Originally from Silverton, Oregon, MT graduated from Seattle University with a degree in International Studies. After graduating, she worked as a Jesuit Volunteer to preserve affordable housing and protect tenants’ rights in San Francisco at the Eviction Defense Collaborative. She was a Emerson Hunger Fellow and worked on inclusive food and hunger policy in Idaho and Washington D.C. before returning to her home state of Oregon to work in education and community outreach at a food and hunger nonprofit in Portland. MT recently moved back to San Francisco and is excited to be working to protect tenants rights once more.

In her free time she enjoys exploring the city by bike, foot and bus, thrift shopping and drinking strong coffee.
